Man held for sexually assaulting minor daughter in Fatehabad

Hisar: A man has been arrested for allegedly committing indecent acts against his minor daughter in Fatehabad. The nine-year-old girl, a student at a govt school, confided in her teachers about her ordeal, leading to the exposure of the crime.The girl narrated the incident to her school teachers, who immediately informed the authorities. The matter was subsequently escalated to the child welfare committee that, after counselling the victim, filed a report with the police.During counselling, the girl confirmed the abuse. Investigation followed, leading to the arrest of the accused, a labourer by occupation. The victim's mother had left her husband around eight years ago. She has two children — a son and the minor daughter.A Fatehabad police spokesperson said based on the committee's complaint and information sent by the district education officer, a case was registered against the accused.
