Chd Police register 10 FIRs, arrest 10 on NY

Chandigarh: UT cops registered 10 FIRs and caught 10 on Jan 1 under the Arms Act, NDPS Act, Excise Act, Punjab Police Act, and BNS. Five police stations reported these cases: Maloya and Maulijagran registered three FIRs each, Sec 36 registered two, while Sec 34 & 39 did one each.Maulijagran: Police arrested Aakash, Gagan Saran, and Ram Bahadur for consuming liquor and creating nuisance in public. All were later released on bail.Maloya: Gurpreet Singh and Vikas Kumar were arrested for smuggling liquor. Both were released on bail. In another case, Deepak Kumar, manager of a café, was booked for serving hookah on NY night in violation of DM's order. Sector 34: Police arrested Shubham alias Bread, 19, of Burail, for carrying a knife. Sector 36: Two FIRs were registered—one against a Nigerian for possession of crack cocaine balls and another against Ravi Kashyap of Sec 41 for public drinking. Sector 39: Police arrested Shankar of Sector 56 for consuming liquor in public. tnn
