BJP upbeat in Malwa, Jakhar says Punjab win foundation laid

Bathinda: The assembly elections victories in West Bengal and Assam have buoyed the BJP in the state's Malwa region, with party functionaries dancing to the beats of dhol and distributing ladoos at multiple places.BJP state president Sunil Jakhar, who belongs to the Malwa region, said it is the turn of Punjab now to elect a BJP govt in a few months, adding that its foundations have been laid. Party leaders Vijay Sampla and Kewal Singh Dhillon celebrated the victories in Barnala with party district president Yadwinder Shunty and party workers. BJP's Bathinda district president Sarup Chand Singla led the celebrations in Bathinda. Dhillon said Punjab is now waiting to see its first independent govt by BJP early next year.
