Bathinda: The assembly elections victories in West Bengal and Assam have buoyed the BJP in the state's Malwa region, with party functionaries dancing to the beats of dhol and distributing ladoos at multiple places.
BJP state president Sunil Jakhar, who belongs to the Malwa region, said it is the turn of Punjab now to elect a BJP govt in a few months, adding that its foundations have been laid.
Party leaders Vijay Sampla and Kewal Singh Dhillon celebrated the victories in Barnala with party district president Yadwinder Shunty and party workers. BJP's Bathinda district president Sarup Chand Singla led the celebrations in Bathinda.
Dhillon said Punjab is now waiting to see its first independent govt by BJP early next year. The BJP is not limited only to Fazilka and Ferozepur districts in the Malwa region as it is expanding across the length and breadth of the region, claimed Dhillon.
