10 held for group clash

Berhampur: Police on Thursday arrested 10 people for alleged involvement in clash between two theatre groups at Markandi under Ganjam district’s Golanthara police station limits on Wednesday night. At least a dozen people, including some police personnel were injured in the clash between members of theatre groups of Ramapalli and Gobindapur following a heated argument, police said. Rival groups hurled bricks, stones and crude bombs at each other during the clash. They also allegedly attacked the police when they tried to control the situation.
