HC issues bailable warrants against three MSME officials
Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh high court has issued bailable warrants against three senior officials of the state MSME department, including principal secretary Raghvendra Kumar Singh and commissioner Dileep Kumar Singh, in a contempt petition seeking their appearance before the court on May 15. Justice Vivek Mishra also issued a warrant against Rahul Dubey, general manager of the District Industries Centre (DIC), Rewa.The contempt petition was filed by Jai Prakash Tiwari, assistant manager at DIC Rewa, who claimed he was eligible for promotion to the post of manager but the department failed to take a decision on his case. Tiwari had earlier approached the high court seeking directions for his promotion.In November 2024, the court directed the respondent officials to grant him promotion within 90 days. Principal secretary Raghvendra Singh, commissioner Dileep Singh and DIC Rewa GM Rahul Dubey were named respondents in the petition.During the hearing on alleged non-compliance of the order, notices were issued to the three officials, but they failed to appear before the court. Taking note of their absence, the court issued bailable warrants and directed them to remain present on the next date of hearing on May 15.
