Cloud cover brings brief relief to city

Bhopal: Cloud cover brought brief relief from heat on Monday as the maximum temperature dipped by around two degrees compared to the previous day. The city recorded a high of 39.8 degrees on Monday against 41.8 degrees on Sunday.The Met dept has forecast partly cloudy skies over the next 24 hours with chances of light rain or drizzle and thunderstorms. Similar conditions are likely on Tuesday, followed by clearer weather on Wednesday and Thursday, before renewed cloud cover and rain activity return towards the weekend.Across MP, the weather office has issued thunderstorm and lightning alerts with gusty winds in several districts, along with heatwave conditions in parts of Bundelkhand region.
