Bengaluru: The long-delayed Ejipura flyover work is now set for completion by the end of Oct, with Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) chief commissioner Maheshwar Rao directing contractors to deploy additional staff and labourers to ensure a timely execution of the project.At a review meeting Thursday, Rao ordered the immediate relocation of Bescom equipment from the Madivala-side ramp site and the removal of three trees opposite Kendriya Sadan within four days to facilitate the start of ramp construction.With the down-ramp work on the Domlur side completed 70%, Rao directed the contractor to complete the remaining work within 15 days. The launch of four spans near the Ejipura signal junction commenced Wednesday and is slated for completion within two months.Out of the total 762 segments of the 2.6km flyover, 731 have already been cast. The remaining casting work is expected to be completed by the end of June. Of the 66 spans planned for the project, 52 have been completed, while installation of the remaining 14 is in progress.
