No nod given to Cockroach Janata Party protest tomorrow: Bengaluru cops

Bengaluru: Police Friday said there will be no “peaceful human chain” by “Cockroach Janata Party Karnataka” in front of Town Hall Sunday. “No application or permission has been received from any individual, organisation or any political party seeking permission for such a gathering. No permission for the programme or use of the location has been given to anyone by the GBA office,” the police commissioner’s office said in a press release.Police advised people not to forward or share any such message on social media platforms and to refrain from assembling near Town Hall.As per a high court order, all protests, dharnas and rallies are permitted only at Freedom Park and not anywhere else in the city.
