UP Board introduces post‑result correction facility for Classes X, XII
UP Board Classes X and XII results were declared on April 23
Prayagraj: UP Board has, for the first time, provided an opportunity to correct errors in the academic details of High School and Intermediate Examination 2026 candidates immediately after the declaration of results. The initiative aims to ensure that students receive error-free mark sheets and certificates through their schools, reducing the need for repeated visits to regional board offices for corrections.Traditionally, students and parents had to approach regional offices after receiving physical mark sheets if they found mistakes in details like names, parents’ names, date of birth, or photographs.UP board secretary, Bhagwati Singh, has directed school principals to verify the online mark sheets made available along with the declaration of results on April 23. In case of any discrepancy, principals were instructed to upload applications for corrections along with supporting documents on the board’s portal between April 27 and May 6. The applications also required approval from the respective District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) before submission.According to board officials, around 7,300 schools uploaded correction-related cases on behalf of students registered.
These cases include errors in academic and personal details that could otherwise create problems for students during admissions, scholarship applications, or other official processes in the future. The board has forwarded all submitted cases to the regional offices concerned with clear instructions that corrections must be carried out wherever valid supporting evidence is available. Officials said the corrections will be done free of cost and revised mark sheets and certificates will later be distributed to students through their schools.Authorities believe the move will save students and parents from unnecessary hardship and make the post-result process more transparent, efficient and student-friendly. The initiative is also being viewed as a significant step towards the digital modernisation of examination and certification procedures by the UP Board.
