Prayagraj: Special arrangements have been made by North Central Railway (NCR) for candidates appearing in the lekhpal recruitment examination 2026 scheduled for May 21. Keeping in view the expected rush of candidates travelling for the examination, railway authorities have decided to operate special exam trains if required to ensure smooth and safe movement of passengers.
Officials said additional train rakes have been kept ready at Prayagraj Junction, Kanpur Central Railway Station and Aligarh Junction Railway Station so that special trains can be introduced immediately in case of heavy crowd pressure. The railway administration has also implemented a special operational plan at major stations during the examination period.
According to railway officials, extra staff have been deployed at Prayagraj Junction, Kanpur Central, Aligarh Junction, Tundla and other important stations for crowd management, ticket checking, security and passenger assistance. CCTV cameras will continuously monitor station premises and passenger movement to avoid inconvenience and maintain safety.
Railways have also strengthened ticketing and enquiry facilities at stations. Additional personnel have been posted at ticket counters, while enquiry counters and help desks will remain operational throughout the examination period. Officials said the public announcement system will also remain active to guide candidates regarding train schedules and platform information.
To ensure security and smooth boarding, additional personnel from the
Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Govt Railway Police (GRP) have also been deployed. Railway employees stationed on platforms have been instructed to help candidates with directions and travel-related information.
The railway administration has appealed to all candidates to reach stations well in advance, travel only with valid tickets and follow instructions issued by railway authorities.
