Mobile lifter held

Prayagraj: A Jharkhand based mobile lifter, identified as Monu Kumar of Teen Pahar village, was arrested by Naini police on Monday and 45 android phones worth lakhs of rupees were seized from his possesion. Two of his accomplices managed to escape from the spot. He has been booked under Section 317 (2) and 317 (5) of BNS. The arrested mobile lifter confessed to police that he along with his accomplices were active at Prayagraj and other railway stations. The stolen mobiles were sold out on nominal prices. The gang members were also expert in online shopping through UPI ID after unlocking the mobiles.
