Prayagraj: With rising temperatures disrupting daily life, the administration has started drafting a roadmap to mitigate the heat’s impact.
The state is under a relentless spell of severe heat. To address it, the administration is rolling out multiple measures, with all municipal corporations, councils, and district panchayats initiating action at their level.
Municipal Commissioner Seelam Sai Teja said the city will install 20-metre-long shaded green reflective screens at eight major intersections in Prayagraj to protect residents from the heat. Preparations have begun.
Authorities are also arranging drinking water at crowded spots across the city. Jal Nigam has been tasked with the job, and PMC will station 20 water tankers at key intersections and busy roads in the first phase. Other related measures are also planned. In addition, a Quick Response Team linked to Community Health Centers will be set up under the Nagar Nigam Parishad.
