Gujarat Board Class 10 results: Science records highest A-1 grades
Ahmedabad: Science has emerged as a paradoxical subject in the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) Class 10 exams this year — widely regarded as challenging, yet producing the highest number of top scorers.According to official data released by the Board, science recorded the maximum number of A-1 grades (91–100 marks), with as many as 75,235 students securing the top bracket — the highest among all subjects. Sanskrit followed with 57,681 students in the A-1 category, while social science saw 56,328 top scorers. Basic mathematics accounted for 50,787 A-1 grades, standard mathematics for 13,939, and Gujarati (first language) for 12,086.The trend extended to perfect scores as well. Science led by a significant margin, with 8,250 students scoring a flawless 100 out of 100. Social science recorded 2,943 perfect scorers, while 3,529 students achieved full marks in basic mathematics. In standard mathematics, only 91 students managed a perfect score.Among language subjects, Sanskrit (second language) saw 2,712 students scoring full marks. English (second language) recorded just one student with a perfect score, while Persian and Arabic had 8 and 12 students respectively achieving 100 marks.
