Mahindra XUV 7XO interior teased: Key details, what to expect
Mahindra has dropped another teaser of the upcoming XUV 7XO, this time giving us a look at the SUV’s cabin. The short video offers the first look at the interior and confirms a major tech upgrade in the form of a triple-screen dashboard layout.
The new XUV 7XO will feature three large displays running across the width of the dashboard. This includes a digital instrument cluster for the driver, a central infotainment screen and a dedicated screen for the front passenger. The layout is similar to what Mahindra already offers on the XEV 9S electric SUV.
Another key feature highlighted in the teaser is Electric Boss Mode. This allows rear-seat occupants to electrically adjust the front passenger seat when it is unoccupied, freeing up additional legroom at the back. Mahindra has also confirmed rear window sun blinds.
The XUV 7XO is essentially a heavily updated version of the XUV700 and will be Mahindra’s next internal combustion model to adopt the brand’s new naming strategy, following the XUV 3XO. The SUV is scheduled to launch on January 5, 2026. Pre-bookings will open on December 15, 2025, with a token amount of Rs 21,000, and deliveries are expected to start by mid-January.
While Mahindra has focused on the interior in the latest teaser, earlier videos have already revealed several exterior updates. These include revised lighting elements with C-shaped LED headlamps, new 7-shaped DRLs, updated tail-lamps and a refreshed grille design. New alloy wheels are also expected.
Under the bonnet, the XUV 7XO is likely to retain the familiar engine lineup. This includes a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol producing 197 bhp and 380 Nm, and a 2.2-litre diesel delivering 182 bhp and up to 450 Nm. Both engines will be offered with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearboxes, with AWD continuing on select diesel variants.
