IShowSpeed shocked fans again after racing a wild cheetah in a short sprint, and the video spread fast online. The race clip was shared on his official YouTube channel and quickly grabbed attention across social media. The 20-year-old streamer, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., is known for bold stunts and loud reactions, and this time he pushed things even further.
In the video, Speed lines up next to a cheetah that is kept safely inside a controlled setup. As the race starts, both take off at the same time. The cheetah moves with stunning speed, while Speed gives it everything he has. The moment feels tense, wild, and exciting from the first second.
Even though the cheetah clearly wins, Speed’s reaction steals the show. Breathing hard, full of energy, he shouts with a shocked smile, “I won?!” before yelling, “I am Speed!” The clip gained around 60,000 likes and over 483,000 views in a short time, showing once again how fast his content spreads online.
IShowSpeed’s wild races, Olympic dreams, and past challenges with Noah Lyles and Sha’Carri Richardson
This cheetah race is just the latest chapter in Speed’s growing list of sports challenges. In November 2024, he raced Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles in a 50-meter dash with $100,000 on the line. Speed started strong, but Lyles pulled ahead and won. Still, many fans were surprised by how close Speed kept it.
Speed has also raced former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher and beat fitness creator Ashton Hall four times in a row. With these runs, Speed has openly shared his dream of reaching the Olympics one day.
Beyond track races, his YouTube series Speed Goes Pro shows him trying many sports. He threw football passes with seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady, stepped into a WWE ring with help from Randy Orton, and even stunned Kevin Durant during a sprint challenge.
Last year, Speed also asked Olympic sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson for a race during Super Bowl week. She calmly replied,
“I don’t race for free.” Even so, both later hinted that a race could happen someday.
For now, the cheetah sprint stands out as Speed’s boldest moment yet, proving once again that he is willing to try anything for the thrill, the crowd, and the love of the race.
