Khloe Kardashian recalls getting ‘annoyed’ by ex Tristan Thompson’s ‘mortifying’ romantic gesture

Tristan Thompson’s gesture may have been overly romantic, but Khloe Kardashian was just not taking it. Khloe Kardashian has recalled a time when her ex, Tristan Thompson, surprised her with a serenade by Giveon. Though Khloe, 41, was a fan of the R&B singer’s performance, she wasn’t as pleased with Tristan and recalls the incident as “mortifying” and even slapped him.

On the Valentine’s Day-themed episode of her podcast, ‘Khloe in Wonder Land’, on February 11, Khloe Kardashian recalled the incident with Tristan, who she had been dating on and off at the time, following his infidelity.




“There was one time I was serenaded, and it was, I think, just a random day because I wasn’t expecting it,” and said that it happened years ago when her son Tatum wasn’t born and she had a daughter, True, with the Canadian basketball player.

The gesture was ‘mortifying’ for Khloe Kardashian

After being told by Tristan, 34, to “come outside,” Khloe detailed how uncomfortable she felt while Giveon, 30, sang to her.

“Giveon wasn’t who he was now. And he is just singing,” she said. “I remember I hated Tristan, and I was like, ‘Why are you doing this?’ And Giveon is pouring his heart out. And Tristan’s trying to sit next to me and I’m like, slapping him, and poor Giveon is still singing. It was mortifying.” In fact, Khloe felt so awkward about her ex’s grand gesture that she called on their daughter to help relieve some tension. ‘I just need like a third person to get (away from)Tristan,’” the Kardashian star explained. “I was so annoyed with Tristan.”

Khloe Kardashian still feels bad for Giveon

“I was like, ‘God, this guy is such a great singer,” Khloe said in her podcast explaining the incident. “Like, Giveon was so professional. He was so great. He didn’t break his song at all. He’s amazing, I love him,” she added. “But how awkward for him? Poor guy, I love you, Giveon.”

Khloe and Tristan ultimately called it quits for good in late 2021. Their breakup came shortly after the NBA athlete welcomed son Theo, now 4, with Maralee Nichols as he and Khloe were preparing for Tatum’s arrival via surrogate.
