Banaras is known for its lightheartedness and outspoken attitude, if you get the best of food here, then you can also get abuses in a banarsi way. Along with Kachoris and Jalebis, there is a unique Kachori-Jalebi shop known as Chachi ki kachori The owner of the shop is known as "chachi," and she abused customers in a banarsi manner. Yes, you read that right: it was believed that the elderly lady's affectionate abuses helped the customer forget about the stress of their life. Since 1915, this woman has operated a Varanasi shop. Along with the common man, many politicians including film personalities like Rajesh Khanna have eaten kachoris and jalebis as well as the abuses of the old lady.
