IAF chopper crash: CDS Gen Rawat's PSO Naik Jitendra Kumar cremated with full military honours

The mortal remains of Naik Jitendra Kumar, PSO of CDS General Bipin Rawat, were cremated with full military honors at his native village Dhamanda in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday. Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, army officers and hundreds of villagers paid tribute before the funeral. His one-and-a-half-year-old son Chetanya performed the last rites while sitting in his uncle's lap. Naik Jitendra Kumar was among the 13 people killed in a helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu's Coonoor last week. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced financial assistance of Rs one crore for the soldier’s family and a government job for his wife.
