But that wasn’t the only surprise. In a heartfelt revelation, the couple shared that their big day will be known as “The Wedding of VIROSH” — a name that carries years of love, memories and fandom behind it.
In a deeply personal note, Rashmika and Vijay explained that “Virosh” wasn’t crafted by event planners or rooted in family traditions. Instead, it was born from their fans — who, long before wedding bells were even a thought, lovingly blended their names into “VIROSH.”

They added that long before any wedding plans were made, their fans had already given their bond a meaning. Naming their wedding after this fan-created identity is Vijay and Rashmika's way of including their supporters in the festivities.
Rashmika and Vijay penned on social media,
“Our Dearest loves,
Before we made any plans,
before we chose anything for ourselves—
you were already there.
With so much love,
you gave us a name.
You called us ‘VIROSH’.
So today — with full hearts,
we name our coming together in your honour.
We would like to name it —
‘The Wedding of VIROSH’.
Thank you for holding us with so much love.
You are a part of us — always.
Biggest hugs and full love! (sic)”
