Legendary actor Shashi Kapoor passes away

Acting legend and theatre veteran Shashi Kapoor passed away on Monday, He was 79. Shashi Kapoor had acted in over 175 movies, in both Indian and international arena. The legend was admitted at the Kokilaben Hospital, Mumbai, yesterday reportedly for chest infection, where he breathed his last. Shashi Kapoor was the youngest son of the late Prithviraj Kapoor, and the brother of screen legends Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor. Though his elder brothers were known for their mainstream cinema, Shashi Kapoor was never averse to be a part of parallel cinema movement, and is often considered an auteur in the movement.
