Suvendu Adhikari Govt Begins BSF Border Fencing Push, Rolls Out Central Schemes

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced several major decisions after the BJP government’s first cabinet meeting. The state has begun the process of handing over land to the BSF for Bangladesh border fencing within 45 days. Adhikari also confirmed the rollout of Ayushman Bharat and Ujjwala 3.0 schemes in Bengal, implementation of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, and a five-year relaxation in government job age limits. He accused the previous TMC government of delaying census-related work and called it a betrayal. Watch
