US imposes sanctions on Ortega's daughter

China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said India and China should regard each other as “partners rather than rivals” and treat their relationship as an opportunity instead of a threat. Addressing a press conference on the sidelines of China’s National People’s Congress, Wang emphasised that both nations should follow the direction set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Xi Jinping to improve bilateral ties. He referred to their meetings in Kazan in 2024 and later in Tianjin, saying these interactions helped give a fresh push to relations. Wang also noted growing engagement between the two countries, record levels of bilateral trade and increasing people-to-people exchanges. He stressed that both sides should maintain good-neighbourly relations, safeguard peace and stability along the border and focus on development.
