Locals Protest With Black Flag As CEC Gyanesh Kumar Visits Kolkata To Review Election Preparations

Locals in Kolkata protested and displayed black flags to the convoy of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar outside the airport. The CEC, accompanied by the full bench of Election Commissioners, arrived in the city for a three-day visit ahead of the 2026 West Bengal Assembly Elections. During the visit, they are reviewing election preparations, meeting representatives of all political parties, consulting senior administrative officials, and coordinating with police to ensure free, fair, and peaceful elections across the state.
