US diplomats warned against using classified information for online prediction market betting amid Iran tensions. The State Department reportedly issued an internal memo cautioning diplomats that exploiting confidential government information for financial gain is a serious offense. The warning comes as massive wagers flood platforms tied to US-Iran negotiations, military operations and geopolitical developments. Concerns intensified after reports of suspiciously timed bets ahead of major announcements and a US soldier accused of using classified information to earn over 400,000 dollars through online betting markets. Washington has also warned White House staff against insider trading risks as prediction platforms increasingly intersect with national security and global conflict speculation.

The mortal remains of Chandranath Rath, personal assistant of BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, were brought from a hospital in Madhyamgram to his residence after he was shot dead in West Bengal.
