Mojtaba Khamenei Breaks Silence After Trump Question His Absence; Thanks Iraq For Supporting In War

Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued a message to Iraq — without making a single public appearance. The statement comes days after US President Donald Trump openly said he did not know whether Khamenei was alive. In his message, Khamenei thanked Iraq and praised Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani for backing Iran, referencing a powerful fatwa that called it a “collective duty” to support Tehran during the war. But questions are growing louder. Khamenei has not been seen in public since taking over after the death of his father, Ali Khamenei. His absence has fueled speculation over his condition, with reports suggesting he may have been severely injured in an airstrike and possibly moved to Moscow for treatment.
