During poll rallies in Assam, Union Home Minister Amit Shah promised the implementation of a Universal Civil Code and a strict crackdown on illegal infiltrators. Shah criticized the Congress for allegedly protecting infiltrators and disrupting electoral roll revisions.Shah also lauded the Himanta Biswa Sarma government for reclaiming encroached land and maintaining peace through accords that ended insurgency. He underscored the BJP’s developmental achievements in Assam, highlighting funding, industrial projects, and plans for educational expansion. These statements come ahead of crucial assembly elections where BJP seeks a third consecutive term.
