Iran Hits Anti-Regime Kurdish Groups In Iraqi Kurdistan Amid Mideast Tensions

Tensions are rising again in northern Iraq after a fresh wave of drone and missile attacks targeted Iranian Kurdish opposition camps near Erbil. Shafaq News- reported a drone and missile strike hit the Zwi Spay camp in Koya district near Erbil on Wednesday. The camp is linked to the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran, or KDPI. Karim Parweizi, a senior KDPI figure, told local media that the attack caused material damage inside the camp. He also said drones could still be heard flying overhead even after the strike. In a separate incident, another drone was intercepted and shot down near Shaqlawa, northeast of Erbil. Local sources say aircraft from the Global Coalition carried out the interception before the drone could reach its target.
