It’s part of ’sanskar’: Safai medical campus VC on ragging of 150 students

Following the shocking incident from Agra, in which 150 first-year MBBS students of the University of Medical Sciences in Safai, Etawah, were made to shave off their heads and march in a queue to salute their seniors. Vice-chancellor, Dr Raj Kumar, has responded by attempting to justify the act by describing it as a ‘manners building’ activity and denied that any ragging took place. Kumar described it as ‘sanskar’ of the medical education system and claimed nothing happened on the campus.
