Qatar confirmed it intercepted a missile targeting its territory, with explosions reported over Doha, home to the region’s largest US military base. Across the Gulf, multiple nations reported similar threats. Kuwait said it shot down seven drones, while Saudi Arabia intercepted drones over its oil-rich eastern province amid what is being described as one of the largest aerial offensives since the war began. United Arab Emirates and Bahrain also activated air defence systems against incoming threats. The conflict is also disrupting global aviation, with Qatar Airways scaling back operations and issuing travel advisories. Meanwhile, Gulf nations are ramping up security alerts and diplomatic efforts, with emergency meetings underway in Riyadh to stabilize the rapidly deteriorating situation.
