NEW DELHI: The Indian Army’s Konark Corps on Tuesday showcased its artillery and rocket firepower in a high-intensity exercise at the Pokaran Field Firing Range, underlining its combat readiness amid evolving regional security dynamics.Sharing a video of the drill on X, the Corps said: “Thunder with Precision… Gunners of BograBrigade sharpened their combat prowess amidst #Rajasthan's vast sandy arenas through focussed training, intensive field firing & refinement of Tactics-Techniques-Procedures (TTPs).” The exercise featured coordinated firing missions involving key systems such as the BM-21 Grad and the indigenous Pinaka. The BM-21, mounted on a 40-barrel launcher, demonstrated its capability by firing a full salvo within seconds, engaging simulated targets across varying ranges.According to Army officials, the drills were conducted over several days in desert conditions, focusing on improving accuracy, response time and battlefield coordination. The exercise also highlighted integration of drones to enhance targeting and battlefield awareness.“Validation was carried out for flawless firepower delivery in dynamic scenarios, fusing drones for cutting-edge battlefield superiority,” the Corps said in its post.
