Hina Khan calls out Shilpa Shinde’s false se*ual harassment allegation as ‘absolutely shameful’; says Bhabi Ji producer is the ‘real victim’

After actress Shilpa Shinde admitted to making a false sexual harassment allegation against Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai producer Sanjay Kohli, several celebrities strongly reacted against her. Actress Hina Khan is the latest to criticise Shilpa for her revelation, calling it "absolutely shameful."Hina, who was also Shilpa's co-contestant on Bigg Boss 11, took to her Instagram Stories and shared a strongly worded note. In her note, the actress mentioned that she generally avoids commenting on matters unrelated to her, but she felt it was important to speak up on this matter. Hina condemned the alleged misuse of a sexual assault allegation for personal benefit during a dispute. Hina wrote, "Yes, using your Sex to malign someone's image in order to win during a conflict is absolutely shameful." She, however, clarified that seeking justice in genuine cases is absolutely right. Hina added that she was left "shocked beyond words" after hearing Shilpa confess to making false sexual harassment allegations against the producer.She added, "But I want to talk about the 'Real Victim' here. A respected Man with a wife, a daughter and many other women in his family." Hina then defended producer Sanjay Kohli, against whom Shilpa had levelled the allegations, describing him as a hardworking producer who has been associated with several iconic television shows. She added, "As admitted by the Female Actor, her allegations were not just baseless they were used to gain advantage, to win, to score, to claim, to settle without the utilisation of Law."The Kasautii Zindagi Kay actress questioned how the producer later chose to offer work to the same actress who had made the allegation against him. "She wrote, "And even after that, the SAME producer gives the SAME show to the SAME person. Another LAUNCHPAD, another MOUTHPIECE, another RELEVANCE, another CHANCE to legitimise her Fake Claim of SEXUAL ASSAULT," she wrote.Hina concluded the note and expressed concern over the possibility of the same issue resurfacing in the future. She wrote, "What if the actor repeats it? After all the actor has been given the same show by the one she FALSELY ACCUSED." Concluding her statement, Hina said she was deeply appalled by the entire episode, adding, "The joke is on us."For the uninitiated, in a recent podcast with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Shilpa made a shocking revelation about filing a false sexual harassment case against the producer of Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain. She said, "At that time, I filed a sexual harassment complaint against my producer because I felt I had no other option left. Looking back, I still feel it was a huge step. All doors were closed on me. I believed there was no other way to get out of the situation. When you go to file an FIR, the police ask you to provide specific details and allegations. Coming from a law background, I was aware of the process. Today, I want to say that the allegations I made were not true. I am admitting this for the first time."
