Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain! 2.0 actor Saanand Verma: Reinvention is important, when you don’t reinvent yourself, you become stale and outdated
Saanand Verma, who is currently seen in Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain! 2.0, shared that his craft has evolved since the time he started out. He said, "My craft keeps evolving with constant learning and observation. I believe acting grows with life experiences.""I try to understand the soul of every character and give something new each time. I am a constant learner and never feel satisfied with myself. That hunger to learn, to observe people, body language, emotions, and life around me is what keeps my craft evolving," he said.

With his time in the industry, he feels that an actor should continue to reinvent themselves. He said, "Reinvention is extremely important. If you don’t reinvent yourself, you become stale and outdated.""Competition has increased, artists have increased, viewers have increased—everything has grown. So an actor has to constantly reinvent himself to stay relevant for a longer time and to keep working consistently," he added.Saanand agrees that the industry is becoming open to experiments and layered characters and feels that an actor should also be responsible when choosing a story.
He said, "We cannot keep showing the same thing again and again. Content is increasing, platforms are increasing, and people are trying to create something different. Creativity always has scope to evolve, and that is clearly happening today.""Cinema has a very strong impact on society. Actors have a responsibility to choose stories thoughtfully. If a wrong message is given and it affects society or the coming generation negatively, the actor becomes responsible. Big actors, especially, whose names sell films, must be very careful not to show or promote anything that harms social values," he added. He stressed that acting today is not just about performance and added, "You need to be skillful in many areas. If you are playing an engineer, you should understand engineering basics. If you are playing a doctor, you should know those basics."He further said, "The more skills you acquire, the more complete an actor you become. Learning different skill sets is very important to make a character believable."Sharing his take on the dominance of digital platforms, he mentioned that it has increased an actor’s longevity and reach tremendously. "Today, anyone can access an actor’s work anytime. Earlier, this was not possible," he said."A powerful performance can be used as a reference even 200 years later. Newcomers can learn from it. Digital platforms have made learning, watching, and understanding content very easy, and that has definitely increased actors’ longevity," Saanand ended.
