This year’s Super Bowl was all about the new releases that are heading our way this year. The beloved yellow characters are making a return to the franchise as the first official teaser clip was aired during one of the breaks of the game. The clip starts off with a minion running towards the camera in a white background, screaming “minions” and then “monsters” as a creature’s roar is played in the background.

The official trailer opens with a swarm of minions wearing armour and holding weapons in their hands as the sun dawns. They appear to be on a film set with a couple of actors who are dressed as the Vikings. As the director on set screams “action”, they attack the actors and go full speed ahead with their weapons.
The director tells them to stop after a bit when it shows that the Vikings are all in pain. The clip continues as the minions pitch a movie idea about them facing off with a monster to the director. In order to get a monster, they try to summon it, however, end up freeing a scientist who tells them that he can lead them to all the monsters that they want. The trailer plays on as chaos ensues and the minions have to face off with a whole new challenge now. BLACKPINK’s ‘How You Like That’ plays in the background. The film is all set to drop in theatres on July 1.
