Abhishek Sharrma reacts as Vasudha hits no. 2 TRP rank, calls it audience-driven success: says 'Biggest reward for any actor'
Abhishek Sharrma, who plays Devansh in Vasudha, has been getting steady appreciation from viewers, especially as his character grows more popular with each passing episode. The show has also hit a big milestone, securing the second spot in the TRP rankings across channels. This is a big deal for the whole team. The rising TRP numbers have made it even stronger in the competitive TV market.
Abhishek said that the news of the show's high TRP rating made him very thankful. “When I first heard it, I honestly just felt very thankful. The team works for long hours, puts in all their energy, emotions, everything, but you never really know how it’s being received until these numbers come out,” he said.
He added that reaching the second spot felt like a big emotional moment for everyone involved. “Reaching the second spot felt really special. It felt like the audience is actually connecting with what we’re doing, and that’s the biggest reward for any actor.”
At the same time, he admitted that such success also brings added responsibility. “But along with that happiness, there’s also pressure in a good way. It makes you more responsible. When people are giving you so much love, you naturally want to do better and not let that go. It just pushes us to keep improving and stay consistent.”
Talking about why the show is working so well with audiences, Abhishek believes the emotional honesty of the story is the key reason behind its success. “I think what’s working is that the emotions feel very real. Nothing feels overly manufactured or forced just for drama. It feels close to real life,” he explained.
He also highlighted how the layered writing of characters is helping the show connect better with viewers. “There’s also a nice layering in the characters. Nobody is just good or bad. Everyone has their own reasons, their own situation, and I think that’s what people are relating to.”
Speaking about the current storyline, he added that the ongoing track is keeping viewers engaged every day. “Right now, the track has a very interesting flow - there’s conflict, surprises, emotional turns, so it keeps people engaged. I also feel viewers are not just watching it, they are actually feeling the story and the relationships.”
