Third edition of World Jazz Festival to be held in Delhi in April

Come April 21, Delhi will welcome you to the musical extravaganza, that is, the third edition of the World Jazz Festival. It’s the rich history of Jazz combined with our very own Indian music, that’s making us so excited for this.

The festival is a great place to get to know a little bit more about this genre of music. Watch world-class performers bring you the melody and rhythm of Jazz music.
One thing that makes Jazz so loved worldwide is that it allows the musicians to improvise and experiment as they go along with the music. Some say there’s something beautiful about how Jazz is not a genre where you need to follow certain set patterns. You create as you go, and that’s beautiful.


The jazz scene in India is already very interesting. Metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, to name a few already have a very healthy Jazz following. Like we have said earlier, Jazz allows you to improvise and experiment, so did our musicians. In India, we have something called Indo-Jazz. It’s a whole different genre in itself.

Since the first edition of World Jazz Festival in 2020, there has been a tremendous response from cities like Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi.

The World Jazz Festival is in collaboration with Amersfoort Jazz Festival from The Netherlands. This year, the World Jazz Festival will cover five Indian cities – Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, and Hyderabad. This edition's line-up includes Jazz musicians from countries like the Netherlands, USA, Thailand, Serbia, Brazil, South Korea and, of course, India.
