Earlier this month, the United Arab Emirates also lifted the ban on entry of passengers from five other countries, including India, from August 5. Although travel restrictions from India to the UAE are still in place, Indians who are fully vaccinated, at least 14 days prior to the travel, and with valid residence permit, are included in the exempted category.
Kuwait has also allowed direct flights to 12 countries from July 1, which included countries like the United States, Britain, Italy, France, Austria, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Greece, Bosnia, Kyrgyzstan, and Herzegovina.
Earlier, the Gulf state suspended commercial flights from several countries, including India, following the advice of health authorities due to the rise in COVID cases. It was decided in April that all those arriving from India either directly or via another country, will not be allowed to enter the country, unless they have spent at least 14 days out of India.
