Part carnival, part rodeo and part exhibit is how you best describe the Calgary Stampede. This annual rodeo runs every summer and draws millions to the city to play, eat and watch amazing cowboys. One of the best things about the stampede is the food, from deep fried chocolate bars to pizzas that feature real scorpions, one won’t cease to be amazed by what is on offer here. There are enough rides and games to keep the kids entertained at the Midway where little ones can ride in airplanes while more adventurous ones can spin, twist and scream on many of the daring rides. Indulge in one of the famous pancake breakfasts, enjoy one of the many musical acts or visit the farm animals and learn more about them. The evening show is one of the most popular here, where a chuck wagon event will have fans cheering for their favourites with music, acrobats and incredible fireworks in the end. Other popular shows include stunts, super dogs and of course, the world famous rodeo, which features 9 rodeo events over 10 days and offers over 2 million dollars in prize money!
