The Folk Arts Council of Winnipeg organises this 2-week festival that is held annually in the month of August. Visitors from all over the world come here to taste incredible food and celebrate different cultures and nations from around the world. It is one of the world’s longest running multi-cultural festival, as well as one of the largest in the world. The way this festival works is unique, each country or culture is assigned a different pavilion. Each pavilion then puts on a show, featuring music, dancing or whatever else they choose to do. They present their traditional food and alcohol. Some feature late night parties, some feature Henna tattoos and others showcase sports. There are over 40 pavilions to choose from so event planners recommend visiting 3 at night, and at least 3 to 6 each week. The pavilions do change up, with half being offered in week one and half in week two. Admission here is done by ticket, its 6 dollars per pavilion or there are fun packs for multiple tickets. Children under the age of 12 get in free as well.
