Tipple of choice: The red sangria has a lip-smacking vanilla twist. And, oh - the sweet and savory crepes are good.

A hit with Sydney's cool crowd the minute it opened, Pocket Bar still looks like a work in progress, with it's gaudy murals, exposed brickwork, and arty framed pictures strewn everywhere. Junk shop armchairs and tatty chaise lounges share the space with leather stools and wooden tables that attracts a similarly random crowd.
The spirits list is particularly impressive, including everything from imported gin to fruit liqueurs you'll never have heard of. In line with the bar's "optimism" project, they'll take 20 per cent off your bill if you present a parking ticket or a similarly annoying infringement notice.
