The setting at the Shangri-La’s flagship restaurant is French… squared. Crystal chandeliers dangle from the ceiling, Degas’ ballerinas decorate the walls and the menu is awash in accent marks. The service is no less refined, with waiters inquiring as to your needs in hushed whispers.
The kitchen spits out modern, contemporary twists on French classics, and the effect is consistently moan-inducingly good. Daring diners can put themselves in the hands of Chef de Cuisine Alexandre Pernetta, who offers a four- and five-course blind tasting menu (in other words, he chooses the meal). Trust us, you won’t be disappointed.
