Chinese down to its chopsticks
Noteworthy for: With only a handful of dishes clocking above the AED 30 range, a meal at Beijing is one of the best deals in the city.

Popular plate: Feeling adventurous? Try the succulent, flavoursome calamari and glass noodles cooked in a clay pot.
The crowds don't flock to Beijing for its stark, cafeteria-like setting but for the exquisitely prepared Chinese food. The place is heaving most nights of the week, and the tables are filled with a mix of Mandarin-slinging Chinese expats and residents looking for the real deal.

The ingredients are extremely fresh, as one can gather from the tanks brimming with fish just waiting to be thrown into a stir-fry. Alas, the place is unlicensed, meaning pork is off the menu. Otherwise, the food is as close to China as you can get without jumping on a plane.
