Chicha

This restaurant in Cusco is located conveniently within walking distance from the Plaza de Arms and is on the second floor of an ancient building. The exteriors of the building are traditional and quite historic, but the interiors are modern and swanky. The walls, coloured in purple hues, add to the stylish decor.
The restaurant is named after Chicha—a traditional drink of Peruvians from the Incan times. As the name suggests, food at this restaurant is traditional Peruvian. But it is served with a modern twist. The menu has a great selection of native dishes and each dish has an individual flavour of its own. Chefs cook the food with much love and passion. The presentation of food at Chicha is fantastic. We ordered the rotisserie chicken, which was accompanied by fries and vegetables. Just one portion was actually sufficient for two. We also sampled their delicately barbecued octopus, which is one of the most popular dishes on their menu. The cocktails they offer are also very unique and there is a neat selection of wines to choose from. The waiting staff is friendly yet professional. They try to help the guests in any way that they can to enable them to have a great culinary experience. International celebrity chef Gaston Acurio is the mastermind behind the success of Chicha.
