Beatrix, till not long ago, was only a hot–spot for school and college students, thanks to its location at the academic hub of Guwahati with St. Mary’s Convent situated right across and Cotton College just some minutes walk away. But today, this place functions as a full–fledged restaurant with a bigger menu and extensive food items. The walls are decorated with funky illustrations and the red table clothes add the spice to the whole eating experience.True to its origin, Beatrix still sticks to its signature burgers, sandwiches and momos but if you are really hungry you can chose from its main – course menu which is rich with chicken and fish items, both in fry and curry. If you fancy some paneer variety, this is the place to be as paneer, in this part of India, is not a hot favourite and is usually confined to shahi paneer and palak paneer. But in Beatrix, you can order from a varied range of paneer dishes.
