Oahu's famous lookout point
Another place to gush over Hawaii's natural beauty, the Nu'uanu Pali Lookout ranks highly on most visitors' to-do lists. On most days the lookout, at 1,000 feet (305 meters) high, provides unforgettable views across Oahu's rolling hills towards its turquoise waters, but occasionally clouds will shroud the area and high winds will blow even the most steady-footed off balance.
From Downtown, take the Pali Highway toward Kailua and look for the signposted vista. For non-drivers, many organized tours make a stop at Nu'uanu Pali State Wayside.
