Capri

Capri is a Mediterranean experience like no other. With its perfectly white structures standing tall over a huge blanket of glittering aquamarine water, every facet of this town exudes decadence and luxury. The overpriced cafes and elegant designer boutiques illustrate this fact wonderfully and so do the many celebrities who frequent the island town. If in case a day trip is not your cup of tea, the accommodation certainly might burn a hole in your pocket but will provide you a taste of the good life. Bringing home a bottle of limoncello (lemon liqueur), produced on the island, will leave you with good memories. Make sure you visit Anacapri, the sister town of Capri and Grotta Azzurra (Blue Grotto), which is an extremely picturesque sea cave. If the three goddesses of fate decide to desert you and the sea becomes rough, the caves might be closed. It is therefore wise to check in advance.

Getting there: Regular ferries from Naples get you to Capri and they run from the Porta Di Massa and the Molo Beverello Port. The journey lasts approximately 50 minutes. Tickets can be bought at the ports and come for about 20 Euros. A cable railway opposite the Marina Grande, which happens to be the port of the Island of Capri, will get you to the town. A round trip costs 2 Euros.
