Anchor-cum-actor Tummala Nageshwara Rao, popularly known as tnr, breathed his last today, May 10. He was suffering from the novel coronavirus.

Journalist and actor tnr fondly known as Tummala Nageshwara Rao’s untimely death has left the entire Tollywood industry shocked. tnr passed away this morning after battling COVID-19.

He defied the typical attire of nadaswara vidwans by wearing a sherwani and shoes on stage. tnr was considered a genius, known for his lightning speed and faultless playing. He converted the high-pitched thimiri nayanam to the medium-level bari nayanam, improving the execution of musical syllables and gamakas. Despite his talent, tnr was denied the Sangita Kalanidhi award. He died penniless but left behind a rich musical legacy.
