The Telangana Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) consists of 119 elected members and 1 nominated member from the Anglo-Indian community.

The full term of Telangana Vidha Sabha is 5 years, unless it's dissolved early. The present chief minister of the state is K. Chandrasekhar Rao of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).

The dates of the upcoming assembly election in the state has not been announced yet. The leading political parties in the state includes - Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Indian National Congress, Telangana Jana Samithi, Bharatiya Janata Party and Telugu Desam Party.
