A 24-year fugitive, Rakesh Patel, who was serving a life sentence for murder, was apprehended in Prayagraj. Living under the alias Nandlal Verma, he operated a spare auto parts business after jumping parole in 2002. Police identified him through extensive surveillance and verification, leading to his confession and arrest.
