Ahmedabad: Wednesday brought an end to an anxious wait for students with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announcing Class X results. It was a big day for every student clearing this crucial academic milestone with flying colours, and even special for DAV School's Amolik Pandita, who swept the charts with a perfect 100%.
Pandita was as elated as he was grateful. "The result was what I had aimed for, and I am grateful. I had doubts over English and Social Science scores, but they turned out good," he said.
A total of 45,107 CBSE students (19,146 girls, and 25,961 boys) took the exam from Ahmedabad region, which registered a total pass percentage of 96.6. Girls yet again outshone boys by 0.92%, albeit this margin was lower than last year's 1.62%. The pass percentage among girls and boys was 97.53% and 96.61% respectively. Most schools in the city celebrated 100% results and distinctions for their students. Delhi Public School, Bopal, was among them. Of its 542 students, 234 scored above 90%. Nishchay Sinha and Nandan Seksaria made the school proud by securing 99.4%. Following close behind was their batchmate Ayush Singh with 99.2%.
At Maharaja Agrasen Vidyalaya, 24 students scored above 90% with Labh Patel (98.4%) emerging the school topper followed by Priyal Prajapati (96%).
Of the 227 students from St Kabir School, 100 scored above 90%. The school topper was Meet Shah with a 99.2% score.
At Divine Child International School (Adalaj), Srijan Shrivastava emerged as the topper with a score of 97.6%. He was followed by Snehal Chhimpa, who scored 97%. Of the 101 students who appeared at DCIS, 5 scored above 95%.
By scoring 97.6%, Dhyani Doshi emerged as topper at Prakash School. She was followed by Yashvi Patel with 96.8%. A total of 491 students from Udgam School For Children appeared in the exam, of whom 45 scored above 95%.
