mirage 2000

Mirage-2000 is a fighter jet of Indian Air Force, made by French company Dassault Aviation. The Mirage-2000 jets were used by the Indian Air Force to strike terror launchpads of Pakistani terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed on February 26, 2019. The same jet was also used in the 1999 Kargil war. India has over 50 Mirage-2000 jets. Mirage-2000 is designed to seat a single fighter pilot but can be turned into a twin-seater depending on the requirement of Army. It weighs 7500 kg (dry) and the total takeoff weight of the jet is 17000 kg. With a maximum speed of Mach 2.2 (2336 km/hour), the Mirage-2000 jets can travel 1550 km with drop tanks. The flight height of the Mirage-2000 is capped at 59000 ft which is around 17 km. The jet is capable of carrying laser-guided bombs, air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles. It also has a Thomson-CSF RDY (Radar Doppler Multi-target) radar on board.
